Happy new year everyone. Now, let’s get back to work:
We’ll resume working on our literary essays when we return to class tomorrow. The outline is posted to the 621A page, as is the Short Story unit assignment (essay topics). Have a topic for tomorrow’s class. If you need to revisit the assignment topics, do so today; the expectation is that you’ll be ready to fill out your outline during tomorrow’s class and begin your rough draft on Friday. You can have both classes to work on your essay, and I’ll be available for feedback anytime – take advantage of that opportunity.
I have included a schedule for this week, and the beginning of the following week, on the bottom of the outline sheet. It’s your responsibility yo keep up. Also, IF we get weather along the way, I’ll send out a reminder OR post an updated schedule to the blog. Make sure you check in here.
We’ll continue with our short story unit tomorrow. We’ll be doing some group work around the Mysteries of Harris Burdick – it’s cool stuff. We’ll use the exercise as a means of reviewing characteristics of a short story. Further, you’ll have a chance to apply what you know. It’s a practical way to begin (and end) a short week. You’ll need your echoes 11 texts for the remainder of the unit.
Enjoy the remainder of the holidays.
